From Imagination to National Recognition: Young Malaysian Creators Make History.
18 October 2025
Artzland Studio has officially made Malaysian history.
The Jalur Gemilang Book of Records proudly recognises Artzland Studio as the First Art Centre in Malaysia to Pioneer the Publishing of Original Comic Books with ISBNs by 20 Young Creators (Aged 11–18) on 18 October 2025.
This historic milestone has been officially recognised by the Jalur Gemilang Book of Records. Artzland Studio united and nurtured 20 talented young creators from diverse backgrounds to write, illustrate, and publish their own comic books, each registered with a unique ISBN. By combining mentorship, encouragement, and creative freedom, Artzland transformed dreams into achievement, setting a national benchmark in art, literature, and education.

The Moment Their Record Was Officially Confirmed
The Children’s Comic Book Project is more than a publishing initiative, it is a movement that celebrates creativity, courage, and the limitless power of imagination. Many of these children were once doubted, underestimated, or labelled “slow learners.” Society often defines success by grades, but Artzland proves that true brilliance comes in many forms. With guidance and support, these young creators poured their hearts into storytelling, illustration, and original concepts, showing that passion, perseverance, and belief can overcome any barrier.
“A child’s growth should not be defined by academic results alone. We hope that children can also gain a sense of accomplishment and recognition in different fields to shine in their own way. Every child has potential, and through creativity, they can move and inspire others. When children do what they love, they give their hearts fully. Passion is powerful, it keeps one going and brightens life.” says Malerie Teoh, Founder of Artzland Studio.
The project culminated in a public launch and signing event at Tsutaya Books Pavillion Bukit Jalil on 18 October 2025. Readers met the young authors, flipped through their stories, and celebrated the next generation of Malaysian talent. Each comic book preserved the child’s authentic ideas, style, and voice, proving that nurtured talent flourishes and shines brightly.
Through this record-setting achievement, Artzland Studio sends a powerful message to society: Children’s creations deserve appreciation, and their creativity deserves protection and their achievements can inspire the nation. By providing space, guidance, and encouragement, Artzland demonstrates that every child can realise their dreams, express their individuality, and make a meaningful impact.
Founded over a decade ago, Artzland Studio has consistently championed the philosophy of “nurturing creativity through art”, empowering children to think originally, act boldly, and shine visibly. This national record is more than a certificate or medal, it is a celebration of courage, talent, and limitless potential. It is a reminder that when children are given trust and opportunity, they can achieve greatness and inspire generations to come.
None the least, this national record also celebrates the extraordinary achievements of each young creator. Here are the 20 published comic books that made history:
